This is the website for Vicarage Park After School Club. We are here to provide top quality after school care to the children of Vicarage Park Primary School in Kendal.
Our guiding principles are to offer a fun and stimulating
environment to all the children that attend the Club, while reinforcing the positive behaviours that are taught in school. The children are here to relax after their busy school day, but we promote interaction and play between age groups, so it’s
fantastic to see new friendships grow and develop.
The Club is based on Vicarage Park School grounds, but in a separate building. Many of the activities that we offer are led by the children themselves, but we also provide an opportunity for them
to learn new skills or activities determined by the seasons or special occasions. In recent years we have been developing our outside space, particularly in our side garden. Here the children are able to learn about the natural world and their
local environment, as well as being able to use the space to relax and play with friends
Children attending the Club are provided with a healthy snack. They usually all sit at tables to eat together but on sunny warm days we can often be found
outdoors enjoying a picnic style snack time. While always taking account of dietary needs and preferences, we also encourage children to try new foods and flavours.
Please browse through the site to get a sense of the kind of activities and care
that we offer to all our children. All our policies are also available to download, and there is a link to our most recent Ofsted Inspection report.
